Sergio Buenrostro serves as the Director of Operations at VICE Automotive (V.I.C.E. – Vehicle Investigation & Claims Experts), a Nevada-based automotive claims consulting and property damage investigation firm specializing in insurance claim strategy, vehicle valuations, diminished value analysis, and total loss negotiations.
With over 15 years of experience in the personal injury and property damage industry, Sergio brings a unique dual perspective that combines hands-on automotive claims expertise with a strong litigation background.
Prior to focusing on automotive claim investigations, Sergio worked extensively in personal injury law as both a Pre-Litigation Case Manager and Litigation Paralegal. In these roles, he managed complex cases from intake through settlement and supported attorneys through the litigation process, including case strategy development, demand preparation, medical record and billing analysis, liability investigations, discovery coordination, and trial preparation. This legal foundation provides him with a deep understanding of how property damage valuation impacts litigation strategy, settlement leverage, and jury perception.
As Director of Operations at VICE Automotive, Sergio oversees claim investigations, total loss evaluations, diminished value assessments, loss-of-use calculations, insurance estimate audits (CCC ONE), supplement negotiations, rental claim coordination, and communication between attorneys, body shops, and insurance carriers.
Sergio is a licensed independent property damage appraiser in the State of Nevada and holds a degree in Law and Society from Penn State University. His combined legal and automotive expertise allows him to bridge the gap between repair facilities and litigation teams—providing attorneys with clear documentation, defensible valuations, and strategic support that strengthens the overall injury claim.
